 Long Range Radio Telemetry Module With Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum

Introduction

The FDM-660X is a compact 200MW IP PtMP device, optimized for long-range communication and high-data-rate airborne missions. For ultra-long-range connectivity, higher power configurations such as a 10W model with PA can reach 100-150km wireless link.

This system leverages FPGA architecture, supports multi-waveform functionality, ultra-wideband operation, and high-speed frequency hopping in a star topology. It is capable of handling both data and video transmission in various configurations, including point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and multipoint-to-multipoint setups.

Long NLOS Transmission: Capable of stable communication over distances ranging from 500m to 3km in Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions between ground-based systems.

Support for High-Speed Movement: The FDM-660X maintains a stable communication link even at speeds of up to 300 km/h, making it ideal for high-speed platforms.

High Throughput: Achieves uplink and downlink speeds between 80Mbps and 100Mbps simultaneously, ensuring high data transfer rates for demanding applications.

Power Self-Adaptive: The device automatically adjusts its transmission and reception power based on real-time channel conditions, optimizing energy consumption and reducing interference across the network.

  • The Power consumption is about 4W.

  • Current equals power consumption divided by supply voltage

  • 4 / 12=0.33A, if you're on a 12-volt supply.

2. I need the 150 km transmission range wireless video data module, What frequency range is better?

  • There are two versions on the different frequency range.

  • 1st version's frequency range is from 1420 Mhz to 1530 Mhz, with 110Mhz frequency width for FHSS.

  • 2nd version's frequency range is from 806 Mhz to 826 Mhz or 1420 Mhz ~1530 MHz, with only 20Mhz or 40Mhz frequency width for FHSS.

  • Our engineer recommended that you choose 1st version, as it can supply more frequent points to choose from when the signal is weak or interfered with.
